Material Specification and Applications for Molded Silicone Ferrite |
|---|
Molded Silicone Ferrite (MSF) is a highly loaded FERRITE silicone rubber that can be used on areas
of the board or chips where there are:

Spurious noise conditions

Surface currents causing crosstalk

Random undefined interference

Outside the board noise interference

Noise damping

Close proximity problems
This broadband material is usable at most RF and microwave frequencies. In most cases, the thickness is not a factor in its
use except where saturation can occur. In many cases, the simple use of the MSF can save some very exotic mechanical changes
to the board or housing.
It can be used on:

The housing cover

Directly over the chip or component

Between components used as a dam

Fabricated completely around an area or component

Covering the complete board surface between boards

Around flat cables
MSF is limited only by the users imagination and the severity of the problem.
